FREE SOUL PSYCHOLOGY

Kaylee Garside, R.Psych

Before moving into private practice, I gained valuable experience at the Calgary Counselling Centre and Distress Centre, where I worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds navigating a wide range of life challenges.

Today, I provide therapy for individual adults, adolescents, and couples, supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and life transitions.

I believe therapy is about more than reducing symptoms - it's about creating meaningful, lasting change. My goal is to meet you where you are, helping you better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward a life that feels authentic and aligned with your values. I strive to create a space that feels warm, collaborative, and genuine, where you can show up exactly as you are.

My approach is integrative and evidence-based, recognizing that every client and relationship is unique. I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) through a trauma-informed and attachment-focused lens while integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). When working with couples, I incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help partners strengthen their emotional connection, navigate conflict more effectively, and build secure, lasting relationships.

Areas I Commonly Support Clients With

  • Anxiety and panic

  • Depression

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Grief and loss

  • Couples and relationship concerns

  • Emotional regulation

  • Self-esteem and self-compassion

  • Life transitions

  • Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)

  • Stress and burnout

  • ADHD

Whether we're working individually or as a couple, my hope is that you leave each session feeling more connected to yourself, your values, and the life and relationships you want to create.

Outside of the therapy room, you'll usually find me spending time with my two children and my two fur babies (they absolutely count!), trying new restaurants, staying active, or exploring creative hobbies. I believe therapy works best when there is a genuine human connection, and I strive to bring that authenticity into every session.
